I'm not a fan of Cairo, though there are fascinating things to see there. Even thirty years ago it was impossible to cross a street and even if dressed modestly -- and I was -- it wasn't a comfortable environment.Buttercuphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03804094230127512943noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5144458625742451371.post-35775219588434384302011-05-07T11:12:05.250-04:002011-05-07T11:12:05.250-04:00Red and Andrew - I actually agree with both of you...Red and Andrew - I actually agree with both of you. I thought Clarkson did a great job portraying a character that wasn't up to her usual standards.Jesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06679283194534387443noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5144458625742451371.post-88981120687953052412011-05-07T11:07:47.310-04:002011-05-07T11:07:47.310-04:00I figure that Juliet is supposed to represent that...I figure that Juliet is supposed to represent that inertia of growing old so she's more voyeur than overly "interesting" character. I love Patty's work here, she's so underrated and needs to get more lead roles.Andrew K.https://www.blogger.com/profile/01104647944747041277noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5144458625742451371.post-8786284621995456012011-05-07T05:37:52.874-04:002011-05-07T05:37:52.874-04:00Agreed on both. Her "romance" with Tareq always felt forced, and that's basically the only thing that tries to push to the film forward mostly.Redhttp://www.anomalousmaterial.comnoreply@blogger.com
